These dedicated missionaries go where we can't. |

A missionary's missionary! "Meet Stephen, born into a 'Caste Hindu' family in India. The acts of witchcraft against his family by his relatives and the constant sickness, poverty, even deaths happening in his family led him to become an atheist during his teenage. When he was older he heard the Gospel and opened his heart to Jesus, then joined India Youth For Christ as a worker. But there was a continual burning in his heart for the multitudes of poor, neglected people from the slums. He knew their hopelessness first hand! Finally, for three months he fasted and prayed for a word from the Lord. Today, this humble servant leads a team of 50 dedicated missionaries into the slums where filth and poverty and criminal activities abound. And every year, many hundreds are being saved! |

Laborers for the harvest. These are four of many ladies who daily go into the dirty and dangerous slums. Some areas are very hostile to outsiders. Bad people who control the gambling and prostitution often threaten them. Yet they go, depending on the Holy Spirit to lead and protect. Their approach is to first become friends and gain trust. Then comes the steady process of proving their own love as they tell about Jesus' love. |

The work is bathed in prayer. For two hours each morning these rented rooms are filled with the sweet sounds of prayer and song. Without chairs, the walls are lined with about 40 men and women, united to study God's Word and finalize their plans for the day's ministry. They know that without God's power this is 'mission impossible'. In a few minutes they will again be going into the devil's territory lay hold on it for Jesus! |

You can see these pictures were taken from inside a passing rickshaw. Everything must be done to prevent these suspicious people from thinking they are being manipulated or used. The missionaries are pouring out their lives here. One of the proofs of acceptance in the culture is to sit and eat together. By God's grace, these humble ministers count it all joy to sit on dirt floors in most unsanitary conditions and 'love to Jesus' those He died to redeem.
